Robot Damashii Age-1 Titus

Here it is the Age-1 Titus, not sure which episode it appeared from but it definitely kicked some ass.
One thing I forgot to mention in the previous review is that each AGE is specialized in some area. The Age-1 normal is an all rounder the basic mobile suit functionality, whereas this Titus is specialized in close combat melee. Armed with many many beams around the arms and knee this guy packs a punch and is fun to play with. Lets get on with the review.

The Titus torso is slightly thicker than the normal as you can see above, the arms and legs are swappable

Note the thruster effect parts will NOT fit on the Torso of the Titus

It would seem i forgot to take picture of the parts, it is what you see above.

Overall The age-1 titus is a great figure, i enjoyed playing with it more than the age-1 normal. Articulations are not as great but that is due to the bulkiness of the titus's design. Changing hands is still a pain but the titus works well with close fists hence it doesnt really effect much. The beams are slightly troublesome to put into place especially the shoulder ones and this beams can be quite pokey. The connector or the pegs for each libs are slightly lose now due to over play haha.

I got this figure for full price at that time which was 45 AUD ouch, and I see it going online for less than 2500 yen which is 30 ish dollars. Is it worth it? Yes it is with that many playability and price it is worth adding into your collection.

One thing about the gundam series is that things seems to always come in 3. Example 3 Strike Pack, 3 impulse pack, 3 DOM attack, 3 generation for the age series, 3 different suits for each Celestial Being (season 1, 2 and the movie). So this would be the 2nd AGE and the 3rd will be the Age-1 Spallow which I sadly do not have with me now. It will be up here eventually. So coming next would be the bad guy Gafran.

Robot Damashii Age-1 Normal

Wassup peeps , well it is way over exam period hence a review is in order. Today we will be looking at the AGE-1 Normal.
To be honest when sunrise said there will be a gundam based on 3 different generations I was kind interested  with the new concept and curious as how would they do it, but then I saw a post somewhere that this gundam is catered towards kids and poof goes my interest. But heck any gundam series deserves a second chance, I managed to watch a few episodes and it seems good as a gundam that can learn from the pilot and change parts to suit different situations is interesting, might get to finish the series one day.

Here is the review

The arms and legs can be separated by the torso as above, this feature is kinda unique for a gundam figure and will only make sense with the following review.

Overall this is a fairly good figure, very good articulations as you can see way above, being able to do a perfect split and kneeling down is rare for a gundam figure mostly due to the design of the gundam rather than the toy itself.
There are a few downsides for this figure are that the head is actually painted white instead of the normal white plastic. Bandai decided to introduce a new point for the hands which is the thing I hated most about this figure, changing hands was a pain and I am afraid that it will break eventually as I was pretty rough with it. The feet is a little disappointing as it does not have any articulations besides the ankle joint. The effect part is nice but it is a pain to put it on the figure.

Somehow the Age series isnt doing well in the robot damashii line as the price online says it all. The age series line costs can go from 1000 yen to around 2000 yen which is very cheap, meaning nobody wants them hence the price drop.
I was reluctant to buy the age line at first but the AGE-1 Titus design attracted me, and the rest of the figures are pretty cheap. There are only 4 age figures so far and with less than 2k yen for each I think it was quite worth it.
Coming up next will be the AGE-1 Titus
