Robot Damashii GN-X IV

Yes I am back,
It was a hectic assignment after assignment and final examination period, hence the lack of update.
Catching up where I left off, would be the the fourth generation of the GN-X line, the GNX-803T GN-X IV, in this case the mass production ver, as I do not have the commander type with me. The difference of these two figures will be stated either below or in the next commander type review.

The GN-X IV appeared in the gundam 00 movie awakening of the trailblazer. As the grunt suits against the evil ELS , well not so evil towards the end. Watch the movie to know why. And I must say the GN-X performance in the movie was good, they are able to do far more than any previous GN-X suits are capable of but a grunt will always be a grunt. Lets begin the review and as always the box.

The Figure Front

The Figure Right Side

The Figure Back

The Figure Left Side

Head Articulations
Max down

Max up

Max side,
Note the head rotate a 180 degree, the neck part is the thing that hinders its movement most of the time. And the armour prevents it from doing a 360, well i might be wrong here but dont think we need a 360 rotation for this suit.

Arm Articulations
Shoulders can rotate 360, no hinders, and the right arm shows how far it can rotate outwards

Below the shoulder, the arm can rotate another 360

Elbow maximum rotation

Waist can move forwards

And backwards

Forgot to mention arms can sort of move forwards and backwards as well, the articulations u except from a ball joint.

Waist can rotate left and right a little and all sideskirts can move up and down

Side view of all side skirts

Leg can move forwards

And Backwards

Maximum split

Knee maximum bend and feet can bend down

Accessories
1 x Gn Shield
1 x Opened Gn Shield cover
2 x shoulder boosters
2 x GN bazooka
1 x GN rifle
1 x GN rifle extension
2 x male connector ( the two small thing below the shield)
2 x female connector ( the other two small thing below the small thing)
1 x stand connector
2 x beam saber
2 x Open hands
2 x holding hands

The shoulder boosters looks nice, but there is a problem with it , well I find it a problem and you will see it in a bit

Shield can rotate and can be mounted on either left or right side

The shield is connected by this, it is similar to the male connector parts

GN shield deployed

Side view

The shoulder boosters looks nice when it is in a certain angle however when equipped and when wielding a weapon the boosters becomes a hindrance.

as you can see it is kinda awful

fully equipped, the GN bazooka are connected via the female connector.

Well I would like to include pictures of the figure with different equipments and different combinations but I like to keep things short. If you would like to see more drop a comment.

Conclusion

The figure is awesome, with the amount of accessories and gimmicks it can do. A few downsides are the articulations of the arm, the arms are not able to rotate forward enough to make the shield face forward and the hindrance of the shoulder boosters. The feet being able to point downwards is nice but it lacks stability in a sense it topples over easily. Also the price somehow bandai decided to make the GN-X line exclusives well except the GN-X III, and being an exclusive figure it costs more than usual and a little hard to come by. Got this guy for 4000 yen , kind of acceptable else yeah get this together with the commander type which is the grey colour one. It comes with 2 shields and a GN buster sword, minus the two GN bazookas.

Bandai is releasing the trans am ver , the GN-X IV in red . Expected to be released in February 2013.

This kind of concludes the GN-X line as I do not have the Third generation and Commander type with me but be sure to expect it in February. Next we might have a look at the AGE series.

Keep things short? Not exactly short leh. Maybe relatively short because some people like to see more pictures haha

It is as short as possible lo covering the basics, otherwise I can post up to 100 over pictures and it will be super long. Yup usually for this kind of review, pictures say more than most words i guess
